About Susan
Susan Kelley is a Georgia Artist who designs decorative painting
projects for classes, books, pattern packets and magazines! Susan
adds personality
to her whimsical snowmen and adorable characters by paying particular
attention to their face and eye details. She teaches techniques
such as stippling for creating fluffy snowmen and bunnies, painting
long flirty eyelashes, and
adding whimsical elements to her designs. Susan teaches One
Stroke and Tole Painting Workshops.
SDP Chapters are
always welcome to request a portfolio or to
consider packet and book designs :) Susan
also teaches local Classes and Workshops in Georgia (Atlanta Area), and
she teaches live, online classes monthly. Click a link above to

Note from Susan:
Most of my
classes and
workshops are geared toward the intermediate painting level.
Painting experience of some sort is necessary in order to achieve
similar results to the class projects. General painting terms are
used
such as floating, stippling, basecoating, etc. and students should be
familiar with these basic painting techniques and should be able to
apply the initial steps with limited teacher-assistance. All
special
techniques and skills required to complete each project will be
thoroughly discussed and demonstrated. Students are encouraged to
come
to the front so that they can see specific brush strokes and linework.
My workshops are
always in a casual, comfortable setting conducive to
learning and enjoying a stress-free class. You are encouraged to
take
breaks when needed, stretch your legs, or grab a snack whenever you
like. My goal is to provide you with an enjoyable, yet
educational
workshop and I hope to see you soon!
